I purchased this on 1/18. The 21" chain is ~7.5 grams of 14k gold.
As of 1/24 day of review:
The melt price of 14k gold is $93.54 per gram.
Total for the 7.5g chain: $701.55. Roughly a 60% mark-up - which makes it investable at the price of $989. The only way to get a better premium is to buy from Mene which sells at a 50% premium over spot. Traditionally at Kays or Zales you would spend 300% markup. So, if you are looking for more gold for your dollar, I recommend this chain.
